After one memorable trip to Costa do Sauipe in 2006, located on the north coast of Bahia -a state rich in history, culture and hospitable people-, the designers were inspired to begin their journey and to develop a line of swimwear that reflects the rich natural beauty of Bahia’s beaches and people. Their old time love for swimwear had found a muse, and their hearts were set on the name Sauipe as a tribute to this idyllic stretch of white sandy beaches and clear turquoise water, framed by coconut trees along the coast.

Using high quality materials and finishing, they reflect the sensuality and textures of Sauipe in original designs and exclusive prints. Sauipe Swimwear captivates its audience with creativity and simplicity. A no-excess, less-is more- approach results in sophisticated and very elegant designs. Their cut is a conservative Brazilian, providing a bit more coverage, while still maintaining its sensual appeal. And Sport Illustrated can prove their sexiness, Sauipe's suits have made it into three of the recent numbers of the magazine swimsuit issue.
