French designer Véronique de la Cruz grew up on the French Caribbean island of Guadeloupe. She couldn’t help but adopt twin passions for high fashion and the ideal beach ensemble, After all, the island has a built in bathing suit culture due to its wonderful surroundings. In Guadeloupe, when you go to the beach in a bathing suit, it’s as if you are going to a party. It was a fashion faux-pas to be seen wearing the same bathing suit twice. So she and her cousin saved money to buy different swimsuits, and they would exchange and mix-and-match them, so it would always seem that they had something new. This would eventually trigger her own fashion designing dreams.

Véronique´s passion for fashion was nourished when she became Miss France 1993. Since then, her goal is to make a difference in the world of Fashion with her Swimwear. She also set the tone for dazzling glamour that can be seen in her swimsuit designs today. Her creations are fabulous, and can make any women look and feel stunning. Véronique is also the former Creative Director of V Del Sol and has now launched Aquarella Swimwear as her project that has been featured in many magazines such as Seventeen, O Magazine, Maxim, and Fitness among others.
